This Wednesday evening we were focusing on butterfly and underwater kicking as well as short sprints.
We continue to integrate plenty of stroke work during our Tuesday evening session while our practice is held in the short course pool at our outdoor facility.
The new week in Solothurn started with a post-meet recovery session this Monday evening for the Senior group. Overall, we have a speed focused training week planned.
Friday evening meet prep workout to “rehearse” warm-ups and swim downs including a couple pace 50’s and short sprints. Almost everything was up to the athletes, they were however provided “recommendations” for the warm-up and swim down parts.
Short-axis stroke(s) focused morning workout incorporating speed and aerobic elements followed by an easy aerobic session in the evening for the full squad.
Speed focused Wednesday evening session mainly working on overspeed using fins and paddles while incorporating active recovery between the fast efforts.
This Tuesday evening workout resembles last week’s session integrating plenty of stroke work for the fast efforts while mixing swimming and kicking for the “longer swims”.
Third week of training for the Senior group focusing on overspeed as we’re heading into the first meet after the pandemic shutdown. Today’s evening session is integrating fly kicking and sprints.
Short and easy aerobic Sunday evening workout for our Senior and Junior groups. We split into “event groups” during the second part to keep things a little more “individualized”.
Sprint focused Friday evening workout for the Senior group. We were also working on starts and thus most of the fast efforts were done from a dive.
