Speed focused Wednesday workout for the Senior group. Relatively short session in the pool with plenty of fast swimming following the dryland this evening.
Two short Tuesday sessions from the Senior group in Solothurn starting with some active recovery in the morning for our “student-athletes” and following up with aerobic and speed stroke work in the evening with the full team.
Starting this new week of training with an overspeed focused Monday evening workout. The weather forecast wasn’t great for most of this week, so we also planned for a little greater emphasis on the dry side before getting in the pool.
Easy aerobic Sunday evening workout for our Senior group simply covering the “basics” with relaxed and technique focused swimming.
Sprint focused Friday evening workout for the Senior group integrating starts with the fast efforts during the first part before splitting into “event groups” for the aerobic part of the session.
Overall a sprint focused day of training for the Senior group in Solothurn. The morning session included a lot of kicking for our small group of “student-athletes” while the evening workout was a mix of aerobic work and race skills for the speed components.
This Wednesday evening we were focusing on butterfly and underwater kicking as well as short sprints.
We continue to integrate plenty of stroke work during our Tuesday evening session while our practice is held in the short course pool at our outdoor facility.
The new week in Solothurn started with a post-meet recovery session this Monday evening for the Senior group. Overall, we have a speed focused training week planned.
Friday evening meet prep workout to “rehearse” warm-ups and swim downs including a couple pace 50’s and short sprints. Almost everything was up to the athletes, they were however provided “recommendations” for the warm-up and swim down parts.
