Tuesday evening workout from the Beluga group focused on basic skills and some butterfly technique.
Saturday mornings for the Beluga group start with a short dryland warm-up together with the other development groups at the pool for their practice. Their workout today was a bit lower in volume as we incorporated a skills part focusing on “lines”.
First official workout of the new season for the Beluga group this Tuesday evening. This squad includes 10 and 11 year old kids transitioning from the smaller learn to swim pool and taking their first steps in a “training & competition” group.
Last morning session this Tuesday before traveling to Geneva the following day. About an hour of recovery to keep a good feel for the water ahead of the Championships.
Overall relaxed Thursday for the Team Armee athletes in Tenero. Recovery was the main focus of the day. The sprint specialist of the group was off in the morning indulging on extra rest and sleep.
Mid-week starting with an early Pilates session by Simone Chatelain joining the SCUW squad for their regular Wednesday morning routine before jumping in the pool. Our sprint specialist had just an hour long recovery workout following the dryland.
Last quick dip at the Tenerife Top Training for the Team Armee athletes early in the morning before starting our journey back to Switzerland. We had just about an hour for a short pre-flight active recovery shake-out swim.
Both athletes went to the gym for a weight session following the afternoon practice in the pool. Our sprint specialist had an anaerobic capacity type workout and the distance athlete focused on aerobic IM and fly sprint during his swim.
Wednesday morning was off providing some extra sleep and rest spending time out in the sun of Tenerife. We were back at the pool in the afternoon with an aerobic and sprint focused workout.
Thursday afternoon with more active recovery including mostly relaxed aerobic swimming. We didn’t have too much time at the pool today and made it somewhat a “nonstop” session.
