Apr 8, 2022 – Swim Regio Solothurn

Relaxed aerobic focused Friday evening session for the National & Junior National group. This was our last practice as we took a 10 day break during the first week of the Spring holidays to provide the athletes some time away with family and real rest (meaning no “early” morning wake-ups for school or other “commitments”).

Our athletes preparing for Regional Dual Meet with the State Select Team starting tomorrow did an individual 1.5k loosen swim this evening. It was a long cycle and really pushing our “taper” all the way to this meet. Overall, our athletes had a strong showing and contributed solid performances to our State Team (RZW) – unfortunately, they still finished outside the podium in 4th place this year. Part 1:
600 w/fins as 200 free DPS, 100 back, 100 free DPS, 200 back
6×100 as 50 back, 50 free breathe 5 @1’50
12×50 as 3x free or back cruise @55″, 1x fly DPS @1’05

Part 2:
400 w/fins as 100 free DPS, 50 double arm back
4×100 back cruise @1’50
8×50 as 2x free breathe 5 @55″, 1x fly DPS @1’05

Part 3:
2×200 as 1x choice kick w/fins, 1x free w/pullbuoy (paddles optional) R20″
4×50 fly (25 DPS, 25 one arm drill) OR breast DPS @1’05
