We were very happy to start sharing daily workouts again during the month of November and see the momentum of growth continue after the sudden halt during the global lockdowns.
Following our own “shutdown” (read more about this in our September report), we knew that it wasn’t going to be easy to get back into the “daily browsing habits” of our community and have them come visit our platform again. Luckily, the interest for workout ideas when teams were allowed to go back to training was at an all time high.
During our time offline, we shared some resources through our Facebook page and wanted to include two great ones in this month’s report as not all of you might still be on this platform. Our friends at The Race Club published their first book titled “Fundamentals of Fast Swimming“. Read it for a better understanding of the science and nuances of what makes great swimmers so fast. And set aside half an hour of your time for plenty of swimming nuggets by listening to the episode of the Inside with Brett Hawke Podcast featuring Coach Bob Groseth.
Quote of the Month
A lot of coaches use motivational quotes at the top of their workouts (or write them on their whiteboards). We also like this habit and you may already find many of them as part of our workout posts (or included in the PDF downloads) but wanted to start sharing some of our favorites during our monthly report.
Please continue to follow safe & best practices as we all return to a “new normal” and resume activities – remember that the health for the members of our community (athletes, coaches, parents), should always be our priority!
